This is one of my most detailed landscapes to date, with every building along Bath Row in Stamford carefully painted in full detail. Gouche was used as the main media but I did find watercolour pencils very useful for a lot of the detail in this piece.

reminds me very much of the British painter Constable, most people outside the UK dont know him. But in the UK he is extremely popular. You should, after all the work you out in this pícture, really search for Constable's art. I have a book about him and also some canvas prints I ordered at oldmasters.online in the UK. On his paintings the sun never shines, it is a typical English gray sky but beautiful and realistic. I think he lived 100 years ago.
